Captured on Super 8 mm film in March of this year, this destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico was so warm (in all its senses), had lots of sun, slow dances, fashion tributes (three bridal dresses in total!) and jumping into the pool the day after. Handwritten vows under swaying palms, stylish guests, the ceremony that left no one without the tears, happy families from both sides. This film is all heart. Like a memory, only better — grainy, golden, and alive.
We scheduled our shoot for an early morning to capture the empty streets of Berlin and luckily even got some sun, which is quite a surprise for February. A & L were so poetic together - calm, still, confident and at the same time very tender towards each other. Shot on film, their love feels exactly like I perceived it during the shoot: raw, real and cinematic.
This video features an elopement in Salzburg, Austria, captured in April of this year. It was quiet and grand all at once: there were no guests, just J & J together, no rush or stress. But the Marmorsaal they married in was almost overwhelming - so epic from inside out. I captured their getting ready, the first look, the ceremony and the walk through the city after the official part. This wedding feels special to me - the whole wedding was captured entirely on film, which is an exception, not a rule. Intimate, elegant and full of soul, it was perfect to be captured on film.
It was the very first shoot for C & V and we went for a city walk through Berlin where they moved together recently. We chose a train station and passing trams as a background for their love story, this way connecting their calm feelings and the urban chaos and showing Berlin at its rawest.
I captured Olivia on Super 8 mm film on the Venice Beach in Los Angeles. It turned out to be a portrait of youth, freedom and femininity. Soft grain, salt air and film dust made her unforgettable smile shine even brighter.
